Tails and Fairies

Sunday we are off to a Fairy Tale 21st Party and I am the naughty Fairy God Mother.
I had forgotten how stressful it was to play with tulle, I bought 2 black dresses from the oppie, the one underneath is taffeta with shoe string straps, perfect for a petticoat.
I made the bodice from the other black dress and added a tulle skirt and I have wings as well.

I "helped" make this cake, mmmm prehaps "helped" isn't the right word, I managed to burn the chocolate and eat far too much!

Monday, March 7

I've finally finished my 80's party outfit, a bit of sparkly gold braid added to the jacket, I went with my friend Kath's motto, "You can never have enough Glitter!".

I also decided to add extra frills to the shirt, I'm sure Adam Ant would approve!

We still have a couple of weeks before the party and usually I'm stitching at the last minute but for a change I am organised!

Dress Up's

I found this military style jacket and ruffled shirt in the oppie the other day while trawling with Sue.
In a couple of weeks we have an 80's themed party and I have decided to go as Adam Ant, "do ya self a favour", yes I was fan!
A bit of gold braid, a splash of red fabric and a white stripe across my face I'll be shuffling around the dance floor!

Party Time

We have just returned from a weekend away celebrating Sue's daughters 21st Birthday.
The party theme was Vintage High Tea, Alice in Wonderland.
All manner of drinks were taken from the tea cups.

There was a lovely afternoon tea spread.

Party games were played and enjoyed by all and everyone dressed up.
Without a doubt it was the best 21st party I have attended,
Thank you.

Bunting

I've been busy making "party bunting" in "high tea" colours with snipets of lace and doilies, and just for Kath there is a little bit of sparkle too.

Party

How exciting a 21st Birthday Party, themed with a vintage high tea combined with Alice!
Sue and her daughters made these fabulous invites.
I have trawled the oppies in search of an outfit and with a bit of stitching I will have a vintage look frock.

A crocheted flower garland for the high tea party.
There has to be decorations and we have also been collecting "tea" themed treasure.
Apparently there will be games and prizes.

I thought I would leave you with this flower as this post seems to be "pink themed".
