Where has the week gone?

Thrift-a-Long

My thrifting find this week was very exciting as these were freebies!

The oppie had a box with "pre-loved aprons, FREE" so I double checked with the grumpy lady and sure enough they were free so I bought home the lot along with a couple of other things I didn't need.

After sorting through the pile, yes a few were well and truly loved, but I couldn't resist them because the fabrics are so beautiful.

I have no idea what they will become, they're nice to pat!

Yippeeee

A few weeks ago we went to the opening of Sue's SALA exhibition and although she had created many beautiful  pieces these spoke to me and I had to have them.

They are made from tumbled glass and resemble beach glass.

Sue hand cut and tumbled wine bottle glass to create these beautiful earings.

Over the years we have shared many a bottle of wine and many a beach walk collecting glass.

I fixed it!

I removed the little cap sleeve.

Shortened the dress a bit and added some large colourful fabric circles.

A colourful brooch to finish the dress off.

Looks much better now.

And those felted jumpers have been made into flowers to wear.
