MIA

Im back again, no I haven't been anywhere exciting just travelling around the countryside for work, nearly 1000km in 5 days, I could have driven to Melbourne and it definatly would have been more exciting.

I've been playing with my buttons this week, of course I could have every button in the universe but it still wouldn't be enough.
Buttons are such tactile objects, I always wonder where they came from and what they saw, probably a good job they can't talk!

Pavlova

More sweets, this time a rolled pavlova.
I whipped up this yummy treat yesterday as we were off to dinner with friends, I provided dessert.
We had a lovely evening catching up as we hadn't seen each other for several months and live 15 minutes apart! Sometimes life just gets too busy.
The plate was my Great Grandmas, I wonder what she would have thought of rolled pavlova.

Desert

I love desert and always wish people didn't look at you funny when you asked for 2 deserts instead of main and desert.
This citrius tart was yummy!
Sorry about the upside down photo, weird things happen in cyber space sometimes.

Flea Market Finds

I found this small white jug this week, very stained inside but good for flowers.

Reverse finds, I finally cleaned out my wardrobe!
I found clothes lurking back there I had forgotten I owned and will never wear.
It actually felt really good to sort and discard some stuff.
Pop over to Sophies for more treasure of the week.

A Spoonful of Sugar

Friday evening we went to see Mary Poppins, practically perfect in every way!
All the songs from my childhood came back to me as I sang along and tapped my toes.
Of course I have driven everyone insane at work this week with my bad singing and even worse tapp dancing.
Melbourne is a wonderful place, there's always something to see and do.

Melbourne

While in Melbourne last week I got to see the Tim Burton exhibition at Federation Square.
It was fabulous, his sense of humour and the way he sees the world is amazing.
We waited in line for about 30 minutes and chatted with different people as we zigged and zagged our way in.
My companion had no idea who Tim Burton was and was sure she hadn't seen any of his films and she enjoyed the exhibition too.
When we finally left about 3 hours later the line up was down to Flinders Street and they were staying open until midnight.

My other days in Melbourne were spent at The State Netball and Hockey Centre with the National Sport Areobics Competitions.
South Australia has the smallest team but still managed to win some pretty coloured medals.

Flea Market Finds

I have just returned from a week in Melbourne and I had 1 day spare so my first stop was the Tim Burton exhibition.
WOW!
This woman was so beautifully dressed in vintage clothing and I just adored her hat.
Pop over to Sophies for more finds.

Tea for Three

Had a lovely day yesterday with my two besties.
It was lovely to enjoy wonderful company in the sun shine.
