Flea Market Finds

This week has whizzed by in the blink of an eye.
I had a visit from my bestie on Thursday and we hit the oppies, it's always much more fun with a friend.
We laughed at "remember this" and "I had one of those" treasures in the shops.
I found this fabulous bowling type bag for $1, with both zips still in perfect condition.

Inside the label reads "Sheldon of NSW" and "your lucky cent", and there still in the plastic is the lucky Australian 1 cent piece.
For more treasure hunters pop over to Sophie's.

Yes, you should never give, or buy a bag without a coin in it.
My mum gave middle m a little purse the other day she had lying around, and sure enough, when middle m opened it, mum had put 50c in it for her....
Dont you love old traditions...that bag is very nice...x

it is a custom we are unaccustomed to, you know!

and very dashing that bag is too! I read that giving a knife is bad luck unless the receiver gives the giftbearer a coin - then it is kinda like a purchase! Wonder where all these traditions/superstitions stem from?
