Weekend

Well it's been a busy weekend with 2 birthday parties and the football grand final. I am not a footy fan but listening to the ABC radio made it sound so exciting I had to turn on the TV.

Miss Lilly seemed excited that the cats had won!

Now the above photo has nothing to do with parties or football, it's the Paskeville Field Days site. Tomorrow I shall be out there wearing my best wellies and helping my buddy Sue set up her stand. This small town grows from nothing and comes to life every 2 years for 1 week.

This was my first "fair/market" stand I ever had 20 years ago.

I seem to be one of those who don't/can't do small things, small market .... no go the whole way and have a stand at the Field Days! My first piece of patchwork .... a queen size quilt!

Thursday

This gorgeous hand painted silk purse arrived in the post this morning from Bonnie.

There is a definite resemblance to Miss Lilly.

I love it, Thank you.

Our mulberry tree is full of fruit and the birds are having a wonderful time. The fruit is sour but the birds don't seem to mind, I seem to be washing or should I say rewashing!

The tree is very old but it appears to be a weeping mulberry.

Give Away

I love spring but not the hay fever that goes with it.

My favourite time of year is summer, time spent at the beach, going bare foot, not having to wear layers and layers of clothing. I'm a cold frog and probably live in the wrong state of Australia!

Sport

Miss Lilly only likes sport on TV, she's not really the out doors type!

We spent the day cheering at 2 junior netball grand finals ~ both won.

Then raced off to motor cross to cheer the last race day of the season.

As they are only small the bikes sound like bumble bees but they managed to produce a lot of dust!

Gifts

From nature, beautiful lemons.

From my mum, 2 gorgeous red ceramic birds.

Stamped on their bottom is West Germany and the antique shop owner said they were part of a collection he got at sale.

Anyone know anything about West German ceramics?

Bunny Hugs

This gorgeous package of Bunny Love arrived for me today from my dear friend Sue.

I was standing in line at the post office waiting to post a package to Sue's daughter and the lovely postie spotted me and said "there's a present here for you" and came back with this surprise.

As the line was long I decided to open it, there were squeals of delight and hopping from foot to foot!

More confirmation to the post office that I am an excited nutter!
