This is as close as I am ever going to get to these majestic animals.
Years ago I saw the film Born Free and cried for days afterwards, more recently the film Christian was made I haven't been able to watch it all the way through.

Tickle Tank
Finally I visited Tickle Tank this weekend as part of the open gardens.
WOW
Built from cement water tanks and all tucked into 450 square meters of sloping land!
I love that it was full of recycled materials and hardy plants.
I circled the garden many times and each time finding another little nook.
